OCEANTECH - Typical Applications |
 |
Tanker Terminal Monitoring Systems
The safety of tankers loading at sea has been increased the installation of a hazardous area monitoring and
shut-down system on the single point mooring and jetties. These systems can be solar powered and are built to
experience the worst environmental conditions including wave crash and tanker collision.
Das Island oil import and export terminals are monitored by Oceantech's SCADAplus with remote monitoring on the jetty and SPM loading point. Further remote control is available for each tanker. |

Pipelines can carry crude oil from a number of offshore platforms under different ownership and in different tax areas. The Oceantech system tracks the allocation of the pipeline between users and customers. |

Oil And Gas Allocation System
|
Allocation of hydrocarbon sales revenue from North Sea oilfields are calculated based on the financial contracts that
exist between each of the fields partners and the purchasers. Even though the hydrocarbon products are co-mingled
within the transport pipeline, the software allows the purchasers to by gas or oil from any field on the pipeline
network. This system fulfils the requirements of the Department of Energy via automatic production of PPRS reports. |

Gas Field Control systems - Middle East |
Control of an entire field of platforms is performed by a dual VAX computer running in dual redundant mode with software
packages specifically designed and tested for hot standby. Secure communications and full ESD and alarm handling
capabilities make this systems one of the most comprehensive SCADA installations. Interfaces with DCS systems via
serial communications has been completed with code written by . |
Remote Control Of Unmanned Platforms |
The operations control and shut-down of unmanned platforms has been accomplished with the development of the worlds first
intrinsically safe RTU/PLC system. This pioneering system allows full control without the need to construct safe areas
to house conventional control equipment within the confines of the platform. |
Structural Monitoring
The monitoring of dynamic structures requires real time data capture and processing.
has developed expertise
in strain and acceleration monitoring of large structures under the influence of wind and mechanical vibration. Typical
applications are for bridges, tall buildings, and heave compensation for ships.
