General Facilities

The screen is divided into three areas:

Alarm Window

This includes the following:

Alarm Summary:

Three line alarm summary display, showing outstanding as they occur.

Alarm Accept:

Authorised users click on this button to accept all outstanding alarms.

Duty/Standby:

Indicating the status in a dual redundant system.

User Name:

Showing the name of the currently logged on user

Main Screen Area

This area is used variously as different screens are selected.

Menu Bar

A number of menus are available, toggled between by clicking the 'More...' button:

The 'BACK' button is used to swap back to the last screen displayed.

The 'Security' button is used to log on, and to set-up system security.

The available menus will cover the standard displays as well as the upto 15 mimics specific to this requirement.

Also single or combination key presses can be configured to directly select the mimics.

 

Trends Screen

This screen allows trending of all analogues in the system. Four traces can be individually set to any of the analogues using a pull down list.

 

Events Screen

This screen displays an event list, and can be scrolled through.

 

Alarms Screen

This screen displays an alarm list (or outstanding alarms), and can be scrolled through.

 

Diagnostics Screen

This screen presents diagnostic information about the system. The status of each unit in the system is shown along with the state of each communications link. The detailed diagnostics for one of the RTUs is displayed - clicking on an RTU causes its data to be displayed.

 

Security

When the 'Security' Menu button is clicked on, the Log On / Off window is displayed. This allows users to log on and off, and allows passwords to change their own passwords and administrators to be maintained the system's users.

 

Entering Alarm Limits

The Alarm Limits window is used to enter alarm limits for all analogues.
